If Collaborative Divorce ends, can I keep my lawyer for litigation?

The lawyer in a Collaborative Divorce cannot accompany his or her client into a subsequent litigation. This rule protects clients so that anything said during the Collaborative Divorce cannot be used against them in another process.

On the other hand, a litigation lawyer who also practices Collaborative Divorce can choose to accompany their client from an earlier litigation into a later Collaborative Divorce.
